About me
Kathleen Hauser is an Assistant Teaching Professor of Engineering at Penn State Berks and a licensed professional engineer who spent sixteen years working as a structural engineer. Her teaching specialties include advanced structural design, engineering mechanics, and engineering design. Her work experience includes working as a senior engineer for a structural design firm and working as a project engineer for a precast/prestressed concrete manufacturer. Design projects included educational, industrial, commercial, and retail facilities. She designed the first 15-foot wide double tee to be made in the world, obtained several patents, and wrote several articles for specialized industry publications.
