About me
George Bodenschatz is a graduate student in Engineering Science and Head Teaching Assistant for Penn State’s Humanitarian Engineering and Social Entrepreneurship program, an integrated learning, research, and entrepreneurship program in which students work closely with local stakeholders to research, design, field-test, and launch technology-based ventures in low- and middle-income countries.
As a HESE student in 2022, George cofounded Walimu Kwanza (WK). This startup provides a platform for Kenyan teachers to share best practices and teaching materials for Kenya’s new education curriculum. Since 2023, he has been a TA for the HESE courses, guiding other teams as ventures are systematically advanced over multiple years.
